cufflink-wearing motherfucker: someone with so much money who devotes so much of their mind to BUSINESS that they’ve forgotten what it’s like to live on planet earth. I’m sure you can name a few opposing politicians or tech oligarchs who fit this description. Or you might have seen them featured on Ryan George’s series, “the absolute lunatics of LinkedIn”
Great Thing: something great in purpose, conception, execution, and effect.
infinite payment model: paid subscription. As opposed to buying a thing and then owning the thing, a concept that needs to be saved. relevant.
progress addiciton: the need to add features, redesign, output updatess, just for its own sake. Usually afflicts businesses who’s flagship software product is effectively done.
soulless business husk: see cufflink-wearing motherfucker.
wolfendoom: genre of video games molded after wolfenstein and doom. It’s a slightly better name than “boomershooter”, see the Dusk video. (or, a member of this genre, e.g. “Dusk is a wolfendoom”).

Who Are You

HomeBurger, a.k.a. Adam R Grey. Software engineer (or “software developer” or “coder” or “code monkey” or “computer programmer”; whatever term you like. I’m thoroughly trapped in .NET), salt shaker that walks like a man, information-era relic. I live in Connecticut - at time of writing we’re in Eastern Daylight Time, UTC-4. I have a crippling addiction to truth, and other similar debilitating birth defects.

Frequent Misunderstandings

I don’t. I hire a real voice actor. I hire a real human editor. I write the stuff myself. I suspect people disagree with my words, so they grasp the other concept they know - incompetant AI is replacing human work everywhere - and paint everything with that brush.
